No DescriptionOCD in Dogs

Shoulder lameness is a fairly common
complaint in young dogs.  OCD is one
of the more common causes of shoulder
pain.

OCD stands for osteochondrosis dissecans.  That's latin, and it means dissecting disease of cartilage and bone.  What that really means is trouble for any dog that has it.  Rather than re-invent the wheel, I will refer you to an excellent article written by Dr. Daniel A. Degner, DACVS, a board-certified veterinary surgeon.  Click here to go to Dr. Degner's article.
